Majestic Boutique Hotel Deluxe opened its doors in 2015, taking up its residence in the building constructed in the end of the XVII century by the design of an unknown architect in the Empire manner. Over a span of more than 200 years of its existence the building has not just once changed its purpose. Still there was always one thing that stayed constant: it has always remained one of the centers of business and cultural life of Saint-Petersurg.
Initially it used to be the residence of A.A.Korovin's and K.Gavrilov's guest house. Soon after the construction, a part of the building was rented by the famous restaurateur - Nemenchinskiy, who established a place named "Gostiniy Dvor" by the name of the Merchant House of Gostiniy Dvor, founded by the order of the daughter of Peter I The Great, the Empress Elizabeth Petrovna. This kind of neighborhood set a certain kind of public in the area: the regular restaurant customers turned out to be second-rate merchants of Gostiniy Dvor. A while later the establishment was renamed into "Lux".
In 1847 the building was reconstructed by the architect A. Roben.
In 1903 the owner of the restaurant bankrupted and his institution was purchased on a share basis by "The first St. Petersburg association of waiters and cooks". In 1910-1911 a civil engeneer G.S. Gavrilov built on a front staircase that added particular charm and elegance to the architectural aspect of the structure.
Also in Soviet times the building held a part of one of the city's absolute best pastry workshops - "Metropol". Remarcable pies and cakes, dearly loved by the citizens, became a simbol of gastronomic culture of Saint-Petersburg.
During the 2000s the restaurant and the pastry shop were renovated. They opened their doors once again to please their guests, keeping the best of the tradition till the present day.
In 2015, after another reconstruction, our elegant and refined Majestic Boutique Hotel Deluxe was opened.
